Georgian State Security Ministry asserts no Chechen separatist remains in Pankissi George

The Georgian State Security Ministry (SSM) asserts no Chechen separatist stays in the Pankissi George any more.

"As a result of the anticriminal and antiterrorist operation started by Georgian power structures in August 2002, there is no separatist infrastructure in the Pankissi George any more, as well as, one may say, there are no separatists there", the official representative of the Georgian State Security Ministry Nika Lalishvili declared on Monday.

"The Georgian SSM also managed to solve such an important task as not to allow separatists' return to the Pankissi", he underlined.
