Student fined in Sochi under article about discrediting Russian militaries

The Adler District Court of Sochi has imposed a fine of 40,000 roubles on Maria Tikhonina, a participant in the "World Youth Festival" held in Sochi, finding her guilty of discrediting the Russian Army.

The above court has fined Maria, who attended the above festival organized in Olimpiysky Prospekt of the "Sirius" Federal Territory. According to the police, during the festival she held a picket, showing passers-by the screen of her mobile phone with a pacifist slogan, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.
