Dagestani villagers complain to Putin about infrastructure problems

In their video message to Russian President, Vladimir Putin, migrants from the village of Tsumilyukh in the Tlyaratin District, who live in distant pastures in the Babayurt District, have asked him to help in solving the problems of bad roads, an emergency school and gasification of their village.

On December 14, Putin held a direct line and a press conference. Residents of different Russian regions, including Dagestan, sent him questions totalling more than one million. In particular, he was addressed by Gerkhmakhi villagers from Dagestan, who complained about their problem with gas and electricity supplies.

The video appeal of Tsumilyukh villagers was posted in the "Voice of Dagestan" public in the "VKontakte" social network.

The village faces infrastructure problems, namely, bad roads that cars cannot conquer in bad weather, and outages in power supply, the appeal says.

The villagers have problems with their school: pupils are forced to study in a one-story barrack, built back in 1956. "We are deprived of our constitutional rights, the right to register at our residence, the gas supply and other social rights," the villagers have stressed.

Let us remind you that at his meeting with Putin on June 28, 2023, in Derbent, the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, mentioned bad infrastructure as the republic's main problem.
