Kadyrov presents law enforcers' commanders with premium cars

At least 20 Mercedes and GMC cars have been gifted to commanders of law enforcement units participating in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine by the head of Chechnya.

Ramzan Kadyrov has reported that the commanders of the republic's law enforcement units were given the keys to premium-class passenger cars. "Such a gift for our brothers was made as a token of gratitude for their exemplary and faithful service," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to his story, each of the commanders had earlier fought against international terrorism, and is now making "a significant contribution to the conduct of the SMO in Ukraine."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kadyrov had earlier presented expensive cars, in particular, on behalf of the Kadyrov Fund. On October 11, 2018, he congratulated Khabib Nurmagomedov, a Dagestani fighter, on his victory over Conor McGregor and, on behalf of the Kadyrov Fund, presented him with the keys to a Mercedes W222 worth at least 6 million roubles. Social media users argued about the need to give athletes such expensive gifts.

In December 2021, Magomed Ankalaev, a Dagestani MMA fighter, received a Mercedes car from Kadyrov. Some social media users then treated the gift as excessive.
