Law enforcer accused of beating a Volgograd schoolboy goes to SMO

The suspension of consideration of the case of beating up a teenager by a policeman in Volgograd was explained in court by the fact that the accused law enforcer had left for the Special military operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August it became known that the inquiry into the case of the policeman who had beaten up a 14-year-old schoolboy, mistaking him for a drug dealer, was over.

Alexei Topchiev, an ex-policeman dismissed from the police after a service check, has left for the SMO in Ukraine, the "V1.ru" outlet has reported.

"We hoped to achieve justice and punishment for at least one of the policemen ... It turned out that they would not try the second one either. The court said that they could not find Alexei Topchiev, since he had left for the SMO. We were shocked," the outlet the words of the suffered teen's mother.

Alexander Nasonov, a lawyer, has expressed bewilderment at this turn in the trial.

Let us remind you that in November 2022, law enforcers again detained this schoolboy, mistaking him for another person. According to the mother, force was applied to her son; and doctors fixed traumas on him.
