Woman from Ingushetia suspected of links with militants

Law enforcers have put a female resident of Sunzha on the wanted list, treating her as a participant in the hostilities in Syria.

According to law enforcers, the 43-year-old woman from of Ingushetia left for Syria no later than September 2016, where she joined an international terrorist organization. Since then, she has been participating in battles against Syrian government forces, according to the website of the Ingush branch of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The suspect is charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in military operations for the purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation. The first of these articles implies from 10 to 20 years of freedom deprivation, the second one – from 8 to 15 years.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that this April, Ingush law enforcers put a 28-year-old local woman on the wanted list under a similar criminal case. According to law enforcers, she left for Syria before the beginning of 2015 and has remained there with militants for more than eight years since then.
