Kadyrov makes his daughter People's Artist of Chechnya

Aishat Kadyrova, who before being appointed Deputy Prime Minister served as Minister of Culture, has received the title of People's Artist of Chechnya. This title is awarded to artists of national renown who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of arts in Chechnya and worthily represented the Chechen arts outside its borders, as stated in the regulations on the title.

"I gave Aishat Kadyrova the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, Second Degree. Also, by decree of the head of the Chechen Republic, she was awarded the title 'People's Artist of the Chechen Republic'," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 23, 2022, Aishat Kadyrova received the Kadyrov Order, the highest award in Chechnya. Commentators on the Instagram* have attributed this to her family ties. By decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, she was also awarded the above medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland.

On October 2, the head of Chechnya announced that Aishat Kadyrova, the Minister of Culture of Chechnya, will become the Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya in charge of the social block, and the former Deputy Prime Minister Musa Dadaev will replace Kadyrova at the head of the Ministry of Culture.

A reader of the "Caucasian Knot" has commented on the award news as follows: "Becoming a 'People's Artist' without having anything to do with this profession, except perhaps after sitting in the minister's chair, is possible only under Academician Kadyrov."

Almost the entire governing system in Chechnya is tied personally to Ramzan Kadyrov and people close to him. The head of Chechnya has repeatedly responded to criticism of his cadre policy. At a meeting on March 2, 2020, he called the residents of Chechnya who were dissatisfied with the appointments of Kadyrov's relatives "goats" and "shaitans."
