Dagestan sends about 80 tons of humanitarian aid to refugees from Donbass

Trucks with humanitarian aid went from Dagestan to residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, who are now accommodated in Crimea.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 14, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported that about 250,000 people had been evacuated from Ukraine since the beginning of the special military operation. According to the United Nations, already more than 5 million people in Ukraine had to leave their homes.

“Almost 80 tons of humanitarian cargo in five trucks left Dagestan. The cargo includes bottled water, canned food, essential foodstuffs, household chemicals, personal hygiene products, diapers, medicines, and clothes,” the “Interfax” quotes the press service for the Dagestani government.

Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the chair of the government of the region, noted that all Dagestani agricultural producers took part in the collection of the cargo. “First of all, we included in humanitarian aid the long-term storage products, such as sugar, flour, canned food, and bakery products,” the chair of the regional government explained.
