During Eid al-Adha, flow of visitors to Chechen mosques drops because they demand vaccination certificate

On July 20, in Chechnya, collective prayers were attended by thousands of believers, Ramzan Kadyrov has informed. However, some residents of the republic refused to visit mosques, as they have not vaccinated against coronavirus.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Salakh-Khadji Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, announced that Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) would be celebrated in the republic on July 20. In this context, the republic's authorities announced July 19, 20 and 21 to be days off. Meanwhile, since July 9, in Chechnya, believers are not let into mosques without vaccination certificates.

The festive prayer in the mosques of Chechnya began on July 20 at six o'clock in the morning. Apart from the festive sermon on the sacrifice feast itself (Eid al-Adha), believers performed a festive prayer, after which, according to the tradition, they went to slaughterhouses to perform the ritual of slaughtering sacrificial animals.

At the same time, as the poll conducted by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondents showed, part of the residents of Chechnya did not go to the holiday namaz (prayer) in the main republic's mosques, since people without vaccination certificates are not let there.
