Abkhazian opposition accuses authorities of using administrative resources

Former opposition candidates to parliament deputies - Emma Hodzha, Vitaly Gabniya, Almasbei Kchach, Daur Achugba and Marina Bartsyts - are going to lodge complaints to the Supreme Court of Abkhazia. They motivate their decision by the fact that "the authorities of the Republic have violently used their administrative resources." It has been stated today at the press conference in Sukhum.

According to the speakers, in the constituencies, especially in rural ones, "people voted according to Forms No. 9, which were issued on the eve of repeated voting in unlimited quantities." (Form No. 9 is issued instead of a lost passport.)

As to the Baslakhuskiy Constituency No. 25, according to Emma Hodzha who was running for parliament there, people were voting there who had not lived in these districts for the last 20-30 years and who were registered in the city of Sukhum.

According to opposition representatives, particular persons have been revealed, and the information on them will be attached to the complaint.

However the oppositionists are afraid that the Supreme Court will not accept their complaints, therefore, they decided to inform the journalists first.
