Pashinyan's opponents stay overnight in tents near parliament

In Yerevan, the protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, continue blocking the entrances and exits of the building of the Armenian Parliament, despite the bad weather. They plan to block the auxiliary entrance to the parliament behind the police cordon.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, Pashinyan's opponents set up a tent camp near the parliament; and on March 9, they blocked the entrances to and exits from the building. On March 10, the opposition held another rally, where the police counted 2500 participants.

The Armenian opposition demands Pashinyan's resignation since the ceasefire over Karabakh signed on November 9, 2020. Protests intensified after Pashinyan drew up a decree on the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff.

Opposition supporters stayed overnight in the tent camp near the parliament, but because of rain the number thereof decreased significantly.

No actions are planned for today, said Gegam Manukyan, a member of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" Party.
