More than 1200 Abkhaz residents leave Georgia through humanitarian corridor

During five days, 1269 people returned from Georgia to Abkhazia through the "Ingur" checkpoint which was temporarily opened at the border.

The humanitarian corridor for residents of Abkhazia, temporarily stayed in Georgia, was opened at the "Ingur" border checkpoint from July 13 to 17, and 1269 people crossed the border during the above period, the "Sputnik-Abkhazia" reports today with reference to Rustam Latipov, the chief of a border guard detachment of the State Security Service. According to the Border Guard Service, out of the above 1269 people, 133 crossed the border with passports of citizens of Abkhazia, 813 – with residence permits, 148 – with "Form No. 9" certificates (a certificate of registration at the place of residence, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), and 175 minors left Georgia with birth certificates.

Earlier, 1643 residents of Abkhazia have left Georgia through humanitarian corridors organized in May and June, the "Sputnik-Abkhazia" reported.
