Law enforcers check believers' documents at "Tangim" Mosque

The police have set up three posts in the area of the Makhachkala "Tangim" Mosque and stopped men with beards after their Friday namaz (prayer), the parishioners have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since March 29, 2020, the "Tangim" Mosque was closed due to the coronavirus epidemic. With the restart of Friday services, law enforcers gathered near the mosque; they began stopping believers' cars and recording personal data of drivers and passengers.

According to Idris Yusupov, a journalist, about 50 law enforcers gathered near the "Tangim" Mosque.

Islam, a parishioner, has drawn attention to the fact that the number of believers, who attended the collective prayer increased as compared to the previous Friday prayers.

Magomed, another parishioner, has noted that no law enforcers' raids were conducted during the quarantine restrictions, but resumed immediately after the mosque was reopened.
