Authors of "Chiki" movie tell details of shelling attack on film crew in KBR
After the shooting incident on September 4, in the dwelling settlement of Prokhladny, the filming of the "Chiki" movie continued, the producer of the movie has informed. The attacker shouted insults at the film crew, and his bullet hit the car with important equipment, the film director has added.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 4, in Prokhladny in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), a man opened fire on the cars of the film crew. No one was hurt, but one woman from the crew was hospitalized due to the suffered stress. According to preliminary data, the shooter was drunk and demanded to stop making the film about prostitutes.
Instagram users have criticized the idea of a film about prostitution in the KBR and suggested that in other republics of Northern Caucasus, such as Chechnya and Ingushetia, the reaction could have been even harsher.
Oleg Piganov, the film producer, said that the filming continued in Prokhladny, despite the shooting incident. According to his version, the crew is satisfied with the work in the KBR, the TASS reports.
"Local residents react adequately and affably," Mr Piganov has added.
Prior to shooting, the attacker, while shouting insults at the filmmakers, threw a watermelon out of the window of his apartment, the film director, Eduard Oganesyan, has informed.
