NKR counts 180 shelling attacks during the week

On May 5-11, Azerbaijani soldiers fired more than 3500 shots at the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the week from April 28 to May 4, 2019, the NKR's MoD fixed 250 shelling attacks on its positions.

Over the past week, the ceasefire regime in the conflict zone was violated for 180 times, the NKR's MoD stated on May 11. The fire was delivered from small arms; and the units of the Defence Army "basically refrained" from retaliation, says the message posted on the MoD's website.

By 3:30 p.m. Moscow time on May 11, the Azerbaijani MoD did not respond to the above statement on its website. According to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", on May 5-11, the Azerbaijani MoD recorded 148 shelling attacks on its positions from Armenia and from the territories controlled by NKR's authorities. Only within the last 24 hours, there were 28 such attacks, the Azerbaijani party of the conflict has reported.
