Armenian sapper wounded at demining in Syria

The sapper, who has arrived in Syria as a member of the humanitarian contingent from Armenia, was wounded at demining.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 8, a group of 83 specialists from Armenia came to Syria. The opposition criticized this decision of the authorities, seeing dependence on Russia in it. Armenian political analysts also treated the sending of the contingent as a curtsey to Russia.

The sapper's wound was reported on the Facebook by the Centre for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise. He got a foot injury; his life is out of danger.

Earlier, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Defence Minister, reported that in Syria, the Armenian experts would be engaged in demining, population anti-mine informing and medical assistance in the city of Aleppo.
