Court supports "Ingushneft" in activist's lawsuit

In Malgobek, the court refused to reinstate activist Anzhela Matieva, dismissed after protests against the agreement on the border with Chechnya, at her position at the "Ingushneft" Company.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2018, Anzhela Matieva was dismissed from the "Ingushneft". The activist believes she lost her job for political reasons. On January 10, the woman filed to court a lawsuit with the demand to recognize an order for her dismissal unlawful and to pay her salary during her forced leave, as well as a million roubles as compensation for moral damage. The "Ingushneft" explained the dismissal of Anzhela Matieva by her failure to attend corporate training courses.

Anzhela Matieva intends to challenge the court's decision on March 11.

In 2017, Anzhela Matieva won the nomination "For Courage and Civic Stand" of the contest "Heroes of Civil Society" established by the human rights organization "Mashr".
