Two men wounded in shelling in Tbilisi

A car was fired at the centre of the Georgian capital. Two wounded men were taken to hospitals.

The incident occurred in Tatishvili Street in the afternoon on January 15.

Unidentified people shelled a Kia Optima car. During shelling, the car rolled into Melikishvili Avenue, perpendicular to Tatishvili Street, and crashed into cars parked near the Tbilisi Concert Hall building. The driver of the car got gunshot wounds. The car body bears signs of six shots. Another person, whose whereabouts during the shelling was not specified, was also injured, the "Sputnik-Georgia" reports on January 15.

One of the victims underwent surgery at the Surgery and Traumatology Centre, while the second victim got a wound to his throat and was sent for medical treatment to the National Centre of Surgery. His health state is stable, the "News of Georgia" reports.
