Ingush authorities announce restoration of a village on border with Chechnya

The government of Ingushetia has announced launching the improvement works at the border village of Dattykh. The authorities made a decision to revive the Dattykh village, noted the Ingush Prime Minister during his visit to the village amid public confrontation provoked by the change in the border with Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, Ramzan Kadyrov instructed his subordinates to take measures to improve the border with Ingushetia in order to create "all conditions for life, leisure, and tourist attraction" there.

According to activists, people live in the territories transferred to Chechnya. "The border will be between the villages of Verkhny Dattykh and Nizhny Dattykh. People live there and drive cattle there," said Sarazhdin Sultygov, the co-chairman of the "Mekhk-Kkhel".

According to the spokesman for the government of Ingushetia, experts are engaged in a major overhaul of the rural road, gas networks, and power lines in the village of Dattykh.

Prime Minister Zyalimkhan Evloev also spoke about plans to start in 2019 the construction of a school for 120 places in the village, as well as a kindergarten for 60 places.

Meanwhile, now only several families live permanently in the village.

Residents of the Dattykh village left it, since it was not safe to stay there, explained Lyuba Aldieva, a resident of the Arshty village, located about 8 km from Dattykh.
