Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of 250 cases of shelling during a week

In the period from September 9 to 15, the Azerbaijani armed forces made more than 2500 shots on the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that for the week from September 2 to 8, Nagorno-Karabakh registered 200 cases of shelling from the Azerbaijani side.

According to the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD, during the period from September 9 to 15, the positions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army were shelled 250 times. "More than 2500 shots were made … from small arms of different calibre," reports today the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD on its website. It is not reported whether soldiers of the Defence Army opened fire in return.

As of 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, the Ministry of Defence for Azerbaijan did not release on its website any comments concerning the statement made by the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD. However, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence regularly claims violations of the ceasefire regime by Armenia, as well as from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", for the period from September 9 to September 15, Azerbaijan registered 632 such cases of shelling. Only during the past day, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, the positions of the country were shelled 88 times.
