Tourist dies after lightning strike on Mount Elbrus

On Wednesday, August 22, two tourists suffered in the mountains of Kabardino-Balkaria from a lightning strike. One of them died in rescuers' hands; and his 35-year-old woman-companion was hospitalized.

The lightning struck them at the altitude of 4200-4300 meters, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
