Azerbaijan reports shelling of four villages in conflict zone

Within the last 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Army's positions in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 83 times, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 8, Azerbaijan accused Armenia of 87 shelling episodes. Earlier, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh reported 250 bombardments committed by Azerbaijan during the past week.

The ceasefire regime was violated in particular with the use of large-calibre machine guns, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.

The shelling was conducted from positions in Armenia and "near the occupied villages" on the Azerbaijani positions stationed in the villages of Gyzylgadjyly, Bala Djafarli, Kokhanebi and Garalar, the MoD's website has reported.
