Dagestani student beaten in Moscow recovers from coma
Amir Abumuslimov, a student from Dagestan, on suspicion of beating whom, an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter was detained, has recovered from coma. However, the young man is still in grave condition, his father reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 12, in Moscow, in the course of a conflict which occurred at the Alexander Bridge, Amir Abumuslimov, 18-year-old a student from Dagestan, was struck to his head. After beating, he underwent a complex surgery and fell into a coma.
Anvar Batirov, an MMA fighter from the Vladimir Region, was detained on suspicion of beating the student. The MMA fighter was charged under Part 1 of Article 111 (deliberate infliction of serious harm to health), and he pleaded guilty, the "Lenta" reports.
Amir Abumuslimov has been transferred to the Federal Scientific and Clinical Centre of Reanimatology and Rehabilitation in the Solnechnogorsk District, where he stays at a resuscitation ward, the website of the Federal Lezgin National Cultural Autonomy (FLNCA) reports with reference to Kudrat Abumuslimov, a father of the young man.
According to Kudrat Abumuslimov, the Amir's condition is assessed as severe, and he does not speak yet.
