On June 25-July 1, 2018, no one fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of June 25-July 1, 2018, no one fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Special and counterterrorist operations

At about 6:30 a.m. Moscow time on June 30, the house of Magomed Mutsolgov, the head of the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr", was approached by five cars with officers from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), accompanied by special troop's fighters. In total, more than 20 law enforcers with witnesses arrived. According to Magomed Mutsolgov, the law enforcers behaved correctly, within the law. They conducted a search in the presence of a district police inspector and witnesses and did not plant anything. They found nothing illegal, drafted the documents provided for by the law, and left. Earlier, on June 26, Magomed Mutsolgov was summoned to the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia. According to the notification, the summoning for questioning was explained by the rights defender's publications on the "Caucasian Knot".

Kidnappings

On June 29, residents of the Andiyskoe village in Khasavyurt forced law enforcers to release a detained fellow villager. The video is posted on the page of the "Voice of Dagestan" group in Instagram. An explanation to the video reports that the law enforcers, who arrived in two cars, captured one of the villagers without explaining the reasons, forced him into their car and tried to take them away with them. When fellow villagers noticed that the law enforcers were taking the man away, they blocked the road, cordoned off the car and did not let the law enforcers go until they returned the detained man. According to the author of the message, the fellow villagers were willing to unblock the road if provided with the reason why the man was taken away.
