20 migrants from Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba granted housing certificates

Today, the authorities of Dagestan have started granting housing certificates to migrants from the Azerbaijani villages of Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba. The recipients of the certificates report they are satisfied with the solution of their long-term problem.

The villages of Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba are situated in the Khachmaz District of Azerbaijan. Earlier, they had been a part of Dagestan, and in 1991, after the collapse of the USSR they became enclaves in the territory of Azerbaijan. Since that time, the migrants repeatedly stated that the authorities ignored their problems.

Today, Malik Bagliev, Minister for Construction and Housing of Dagestan, has handed over housing certificates to 20 residents of the Khrakh-Uba and Uryan-Uba villages, reported the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who attended the ceremony.

The Minister has noted that the problem with financing was resolved only this year after the intervention of Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting leader of Dagestan.

"Finally, our problem has been solved. We waited for that for so many years. We were suffering," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Bakhtiyar Mamedov, a resident of the Uryan-Uba village.

According to the villager, the certificate provides the allocation of 33 square meters of housing per person, 42 square meters per family of two persons, and 18 square meters per family member for families of three or more persons.
