Exercises involving tanks and artillery were held near the troops contact line. 2000 militaries successfully countered the attack of conventional enemy, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the previous major military exercises of the Azerbaijani Army were held in March with the participation of 25,000 servicemen. Azerbaijani experts then stated that some new weapons were used during the exercises.
