On April 9-15, two persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from April 9 to April 15, 2018, at least two people were killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus; no information was received about any wounded ones. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to law enforcers, both casualties had ties with the armed underground.

Attacks on civilians

On April 13, at a fuelling station at the entrance to Khasavyurt, three attackers shot dead brothers Iskhak and Akram Djamaldinov, the sons of a former Dagestani official; the brothers had earlier been linked to the armed underground. The killers escaped in their car. It is not ruled out that the active militants executed their former helpers, a law enforcement source has stated.

Detentions

On April 12, it became known that relatives managed to meet Usman Lorsanov, a Grozny resident, detainee at night on March 27, who had been regarded as missing for more than two weeks. His father could visit him, a relative of the young man has reported. No charges have been moved against him; and law enforcers promising to release after a prophylactic work.
