CTO legal regime cancelled in three Dagestani districts

On March 14, the law enforcement bodies lifted the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime introduced a year ago in the Khasavyurt, Kazbek and Kizilyurt Districts.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the CTO legal regime, introduced on March 3 in the Tsumada District, where law enforcers combed the forest in a search for militants, was lifted on March 14.

Apart from the Tsumada District, the CTO legal regime was also cancelled in Khasavyurt and the Khasavyurt District, as well as in the territories of the villages of Leninaul, Kalininul, Dylym, Gostala, and Inchkha in the Kazbek District and in the territories of the villages of Miatli, Bavtugai and a bridge across Yuz-Bash Channel in the Kizilyurt District, the "Youth of Dagestan" reported on March 14 with reference to an official from the operational headquarters of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

In the above mentioned districts, the CTO legal regime was introduced on March 19, 2017, the edition "This is the Caucasus" reported on March 14.

Let us remind you that according to the material of the "Caucasian Knot", in 2017, in Dagestan, in comparison with 2016, the number of victims to the armed conflict decreased by 149 people (from 204 down to 55).
