Head and volunteer of Ksenia Sobchak's Rostov office detained
In Rostov-on-Don, Anastasia Shevchenko, the chief of the Ksenia Sobchak's regional office, and volunteer Maxim Popov were detained after the police got a report about pasting of opposition stickers in a store.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 9, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak's team announced the start for the formation of regional offices to collect signatures in support of her nomination for the presidency of Russia. Ksenia Sobchak has called herself a candidate "against all."
According to Anastasia Shevchenko, in the evening on January 17, both activists were delivered to the Kirov OVD (Interior Division).
"We were detained by inspectors of the post-and-patrol service (known as PPS). They said they got a call that we were pasting stickers and thus undermining the prestige of the federal authorities," said Anastasia Shevchenko as quoted by the edition "OVD-Info".
According to Anastasia Shevchenko, the activists were explained they were arrested for pasting in a store stickers reading: "Against All", although, according to the leader of the Ksenia Sobchak's regional office, nothing of that kind ever took place, the "Donnews.ru" reports.
