A man killed in shooting in Yerevan centre

In Yerevan, at least one person was killed and another was wounded as a result of a shootout near Republic Square.

This afternoon, the shootout has taken place at the "Tufenkyan" Hotel, located in the centre of Yerevan, not far from the government building. After the report on the shootout, the police left for the place of the incident.

At least one person was killed, and the investigating team is working at the place, reported Sona Truzyan, the press secretary for the Investigating Committee of Armenia.

The killed person was identified as Garik Mosinyan, a 43-year-old resident of the Lori Region in Armenia. 39-year-old Vaagn Abgaryan was brought to the hospital with injuries. Till present, investigators have reported no versions of the incident, the "News.am" reports.

At the place of the incident, law enforcers found a pistol, a Kalashnikov submachine gun, and several cartridges, the "Shamshyan.com" reports with reference to sources.
