Report on bomb in Armenian Parliament not confirmed

The police received a report about a bomb planted in the building of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia at 6:56 a.m. local time. Employees of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) began examining the building.

Now, the screening of the building located at No. 19 Bagramyan Avenue is over: no bomb was found, Armen Badalyan, Deputy Head of the Yerevan MfE’s Department, has stated.

The inspection was carried out by MfE employees and dog handlers, he has added.

"The report proved to be false. We inspected the whole building," the “Newsarmenia.am” is quoting Mr Badalyan as saying.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in the morning on September 1, policemen received a report on the bomb planted in the building of the Armenian Ministry of Transports. The emergency regime was introduced there; all the employees were evacuated; however, the information was not confirmed.
