Maria Kuchina wins Diamond League final in Brussels

Maria Kuchina (Lasitskene), an athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, has finished her season with a victory in the final stage of the "Diamond League" in Belgium.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, Maria Kuchina took the height of 1.95 meters and won an international tournament in Poland.

For Maria Kuchina, the victory in the stage in Brussels on September 1 became the 18th victory in a row, which allowed the athlete to become the winner of the "Diamond League" in 2017. In addition to the title, the athlete will receive 50,000 US dollars as prize money, the TASS reports.

In Brussels, the athlete coped with 2.02 meters, which is four centimetres lower than her personal best and the "Diamond League" record.

The second place went to Ukrainian athlete Yulia Levchenko (1.94 m) and the third – to Michaela Hrubá from Czech Republic (1.88 m), the "Championat.com" reports.
