Teenager wounded in Karabakh conflict zone

A 13-year-old resident of an Azerbaijani village, who was wounded on August 7 during a shelling on the contact line, underwent surgery.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has accused Armenia of 130 cases of shelling on August 7 and last night, including shelling from heavy machine guns.

On August 7, the Garalar village of the Tovuz District of Azerbaijan near the contact line of the troops was shelled, reported an official from the district administration.

According to him, a 13-year-old local resident got shrapnel wounds to his leg.

A source has noted that "several days ago, agricultural works were stopped because of the shelling of ... civilians." "Bullets damaged roofs of villagers' houses," the source has added.

The Azerbaijani MoD provides information only about losses among soldiers and officers. Data on losses among residents of villages and towns near the contact line of troops are provided by civil authorities.
