Abkhaz police report details of attack on Russians in Gudauta District

In connection with the attack on a Russian family committed in the village of Khipsta, four persons are being searched. The attackers stole 85,000 roubles and a couple of rings, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Abkhazia has reported. The condition of Valentina Bykovets, who suffered from the attack, is stable, doctors report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on July 31, in the Gudauta District of Abkhazia, an attack on the Russian family, who had settled there, was committed. Three persons suffered; and the above woman was hospitalized with brain concussion and burns.

The crime was committed on July 31, 2017, when at about 3:30 a.m. Moscow time, four masked men broke into the house of a Khipsta resident, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed on August 2 at the press service of the Abkhaz MIA.

In the course of the robbery, the attackers stole the above 85,000 roubles and two rings made of yellow metal, after which they disappeared from the scene of the crime in the Renault Sandero car that belonged to the victim.

On the same day, employees of the criminal investigation division found the car on the seashore of the "New District" of Gudauta. The search for the criminals continues.

The attack in Khipsta village was the second resonant crime against Russians committed in July in Abkhazia. Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on July 11 in the Gudauta District of Abkhazia, an armed attack was committed on Russian tourists, one of whom was killed.
