"Kavkaz.Realii": some ten residents of Chechnya detained for their correspondence in messengers

Detentions of Chechnya residents for their dialogues by means of messengers were conducted in the cities of Shali and Grozny in early July, the edition named "Kavkaz.Realii" reports referring to a local resident.

According to the edition, the source has reported that about ten people were detained for their correspondence. He suggested that young people had been detained for criticizing the Chechen leadership.

Residents of the village of Tevzana, Vedeno District, are among the detainees, the edition reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that messages of residents of Chechnya, who are using the messengers and social networks for criticizing the authorities and appealing to Kadyrov, not always gave desired results.

One of the latest public repentances was the confession of Kameta Djautkhanova, a nurse from the infectious disease clinical centre. In January, she reported complications after polio vaccinations, but later refuted her words at a meeting with the head of Chechnya.
