Nalchik hunger-strikers complain about officials' and law enforcers' inaction

Zhanna Mazikhova, Director General of the "Zvezda Elbrusa" Hotel, and Arthur Baidaev, the company owner, intend to continue their hunger strike, despite their physical exhaustion. Today, they gave policemen explanations about threats addressed to them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zhanna Mazikhova went on a hunger strike on June 26. Arthur Baidaev, the owner a former Director General of the Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) "Zvezda Elbrusa", has joined her.

The hunger-strikers assert that the property of the CJSC "Zvezda Elbrusa" and the adjacent territory of the "Prielbrusye" National Park, which had been rented for 49 years, were captured by raiders.

Let us remind you that earlier the Prosecutor of the Elbrus District had twice met with the protesters. However, according to Ms Mazikhova, they received no official letter stating that a prosecutor's check was being conducted.
