In Armenia, bad weather damages buildings

In Armenia, the damage is inflicted to the Lchashen community of the Gegharkunik Region as a result of a hurricane wind.

On May 8, in the Lchashen community, the roofs of buildings were damaged. Some houses lost their roofs, and pillars were felled by the hurricane.

In particular, in the 1st street of the village, roofs of one of the houses, with an area of about 2000 square meters, and of a cow house of about 150 square meters, were destroyed, the "A1Plus.am" reports.

A carpet-manufacturing factory suffered as a result of bad weather. Staff members of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) and officials of the village administration arrived to the place. They are engaged in elimination of the consequences of the hurricane and calculation of the inflicted damage, the "NEWS.am" reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that last May, in Yerevan, as a result of a strong wind, nine persons were injured, dozens of trees were torn up with roots, and several houses lost their roofs.
