Navalny's supporters report eviction of Volgograd and Krasnodar offices

Leonid Volkov, the head of Alexei Navalny's election campaign, has reported the eviction of regional offices in six Russian cities, including Moscow, Volgograd and Krasnodar. In Volgograd, the contract was broken on the initiative of the room owner, said the local coordinator.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, referring to Mr Volkov, that they had planned to open 77 offices in 65 Russian regions, including in Southern Russia. Thus, offices were opened in Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd and Stavropol.

On April 8, in Krasnodar, the opening of Navalny's office was hampered by people with posters "Go away from Krasnodar!", animators in fairy-tale costumes and Cossacks.

According to Leonid Volkov, the owner of the premises in Volgograd failed to specify the reason for breaking the contract.

"I think that he was pressed by security services; we'll look for another room," he has added.

Leonid Volkov has also reported in his Facebook that within the last week, rental contracts for premises were cancelled in six cities, Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda and Vladivostok among them.

He has stressed that owners of the premises cite threats of criminal prosecution, pressure and searches among the reasons for contract cancellation.

Let us remind you that on March 26, many Russian regions, including the Kuban (Krasnodar Territory), hosted anti-corruption rallies with the demand to investigate reports about corruption in power, voiced out by Navalny's Anti-Corruption Fund.
