Advocates: Kasum Arslanaliev pressured at hospital by law enforcers

At hospital, law enforcers forced Kasum Arslanaliev to write a statement that he was injured when he fell from a bicycle and not as a result of torture after detention. This was stated by advocates of the Khasavyurt resident. Kasum Arslanaliev was placed under house arrest under the court decision.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that on March 29, in Makhachkala, Kasum Arslanaliev was detained on suspicion of illegal possession of arms and ammunition. Law enforcers refused to admit the advocates to him.

According to advocate Sapiyat Magomedova, an investigator of the police station "has substantiated his arguments by the fact that Kasum Arslanaliev is on the police preventive registration list as an 'extremist' and that he was on operational search. Meanwhile, the chief of the Minister of Internal Affairs for Dagestan claimed that there were police preventive registration lists in the republic," said Sapiyat Magomedova.

The advocate has also added that after the release, her client "went home, and on the way his health deteriorated."

"The investigator who earlier exerted pressure on Kasum Arslanaliev came to the hospital. According to the wife of the detainee, the investigator was accompanied by other 15-20 policemen," noted Sapiyat Magomedova. According to her, under pressure, Kasum Arslanaliev wrote a statement that he "fell off a bicycle and got injuries on March 28."
