Law enforcers detain suspected attacker of National Guard unit in Chechnya

A resident of Chechnya is suspected of involvement in an armed attack on a unit of the National Guard of Russia, which occurred at night of March 24 in the Naur District. This was reported by a staff member of the Chechen law enforcement agencies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a checkpoint of the 140th artillery regiment of the 46th operational assignment brigade of the troops of the National Guard of Russia, located in the Cossack village of Naurskaya, was attacked at night of March 24. During the attack, six soldiers were killed, and three others were wounded. Besides, six attackers were also killed. Until present, the information reporting that two other attackers managed to flee has not been confirmed. This was reported on March 28 by an official of the Chechen law enforcement agencies.

Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by a source from the Chechen law enforcement agencies that on March 31, a resident of the Cossack village of Naurskaya was detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack.

Meanwhile, the source has not mentioned the detainee's name.
