Evkurov explains searches in Tsechoev's house by check of passport regime
The searches in the house of the well-known Ingush religious figure Isa Tsechoev were held as part of the passport check in the village of Ali-Yurt, Nazran District, as the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov explained today at a meeting with activists of public and youth organizations in Magas.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on March 5, agents of the Ingush Department of the Russian FSB conducted a search of the house of Imam Isa Tsechoev in the village of Ali-Yurt. Experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" treated the search of Isa Tsechoev's house as intimidation act.
"The checks of operative information were carried out not only in the house of Isa Tsechoev, but also in other streets of the village. In total, law enforcers checked about 10 addresses according to their plan," said Evkurov.
According to his story, during the search, law enforcers “found no forbidden objects or weapons in the theologian's house." "Isa Tsechoev is clean before the law. Both civil servants and public figures should treat such checks with understanding, because law enforcers making their job aimed at ensuring security and law and order in the region," the “Interfax” quotes Mr Evkurov as saying.
