In Sochi, court marshals try to move large family out of municipal apartment

On February 19, Sochi court marshal Andrei Zorinovsky, warned Tatiana Dyakova and Fyodor Dyakov, parents of three minor children, of eviction of their family members from the apartment until February 28. Meanwhile, the court marshal has ignored the claim of the Dyakov spouses that the family includes an infant and a child with disabilities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13, 2015, the Sochi Court granted the claim filed by the City Mayor's Office to evict the Dyakov family from an apartment of the manoeuvrable fund. The Dyakov spouses twice appealed to Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov with a request for social housing for them, but received refusals. On February 8, the court dismissed the Dyakov family's request to review the decision on their eviction.

Prior to moving to the apartment of the manoeuvrable fund, the Dyakov family members lived in a house that was demolished during the construction of roads in preparation for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games.

"Our children will die after one night in the street. We are short of money to rent housing. It is not possible to find a good-paying job in Sochi," says Tatiana Dyakova.

The woman has noted that the house in which they live is empty.

The Dyakov spouses have challenged the court's decision at a higher court. However, the court marshal said "that he was not a reason for postponement of enforcement proceedings."

Mikhail Okhrimenko, an advocate of the Krasnodar Regional Bar Association, believes that the eviction in the street in winter of members of a family with many children to risk to lives of children can be classified under criminal article "Abandonment in danger".
