Law enforcement source tells about disruption of terror acts in Shali

The three young men, killed at night on January 30 in Shali had been instructed by Syrian militants to attack policemen and commit terror acts, said a law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on January 30 two policemen were killed in the Chechen town of Shali. After the attack, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was conducted, as a result of which three alleged attackers were killed; and the police have also confirmed that two civilians were wounded.

"The bandits were ordered from Syria to attack policemen and commit terror acts in order to destabilize the situation in the republic,” a source from Chechen law enforcement bodies told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, the incident occurred near the Ordzhonikidze Street in the city of Shali, close to the building of the police station.

"In response to the demand to present documents, bandits threw a grenade and opened indiscriminate automatic fire, killing two policemen. Some bullets hit even the nearby buildings, including an apartment house. In one case, a bullet hit the window of the house, and only by happy coincidence, nobody was hurt inside,” said the source.

The killed alleged militants were locals. Siddik Dargaev was 20, and Yunus Beshto Emediev and Yunus Mukaev were 18 years old each. According to law enforcers, they were commanded by Magomed Rashidov, a native of Shali, whose father, as Ramzan Kadyrov stated in his Instagram, had abdicated his son.
