Rostov government reports on payment of 5.8 million roubles to miners

On January 25, the "Regional Development Corporation" allocated the amount of 5.8 million roubles to pay debt to Rostov miners. This was reported by the government of the Rostov Region. The money was transferred to repay wage arrears to workers of "Coal Company 'Almaznaya'" for August 2015, reports the website of the government of the Rostov Region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from late May 2016, in Gukovo and Rostov-on-Don, workers of the bankrupt coal company "Kingcoal" and affiliated companies carry out protest actions with the demand to repay wage arrears. The miners also demand to give them their ration coal. According to the authorities, by the middle of the year, the wage arrears amounted to 340 million roubles, and 70 million roubles had already been paid.

It has been reported that on January 25, the authorities announced 3.2 million roubles were transferred to the miners a day earlier.
