Five leaders of southern regions of Russia lost points in ranking of governors' survival

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is the only one of the heads of southern regions of Russia, who became one of the "honours" of the "survival" rating, compiled on the basis of estimations voiced by experts of the "Petersburg Politics" Foundation and the "Minchenko Consulting" Holding. The number of the leaders, who lost their positions, included the head of Adygea, Dagestan, Ingushetia, the Krasnodar Territory, and the Volgograd Region.

The authors of the survey position Ramzan Kadyrov as a no-alternative figure with highest lobbying capabilities, thanks to which he has retained the holding of direct elections and prevented budget cuts. Meanwhile, the other side of the Ramzan Kadyrov's behaviour is in accumulation of conflict potential in relations with the federal authorities.

Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov got "four" with a minus in the rating. According to the experts, he was unable to overcome the lack of social and economic self-sufficiency of the republic. Besides, the experts have pointed out to the opposition's criticism of nepotism in the authorities.

Aslan Tkhakushinov, the leader of Adygea, Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov, and Andrei Bocharov, the head of the Volgograd Region, got three points each from the experts. The Volgograd Region "still faces unsolved problems of social depression and intra-elite discords."
