Ella Pamfilova treats Dagestan as one of most problematic regions during elections

Ella Pamfilova, the chair of the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC), has announced her intention to prepare a report on violations committed during the elections of September 18 in Dagestan and to send it to the law enforcement authorities and the Russian leaders.

Today, Ella Pamfilova, the chair of the CEC of the Russian Federation, has reported that during the election campaign and on the day of the elections, Dagestan was one of the most problematic regions.

"We have a very serious set of problems related to the situation in Dagestan… In terms of the election campaign, Dagestan appeared to be one of the most problematic regions," said Ella Pamfilova at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.

She has noted that prior to the elections, the CEC got from Dagestan complaints on non-admission of candidates, and during the voting, it got complaints about obstacles to observers and bans on photos and videos at polling stations.

The chair of the CEC of the Russian Federation has announced her intention to prepare a report on election violations in Dagestan and abuse of administrative resource there. Then, according to Ella Pamfilova, she will send the above report to the law enforcement authorities and the Russian leaders.
