In Dagestan, CTO legal regime cancelled in village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar

This morning, law enforcers have lifted the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime, introduced in the Dagestani village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar of the Magaramkent District on October 26.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the CTO legal regime was introduced in the village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar on October 26. According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, in the course of the special operation, law enforcers exchanged fire with unidentified attackers, who opened fire on them from a cordoned-off house. A suspected militant was killed during the special operation, and he was identified as Valekh Rafikhanov.

"At 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, the CTO legal regime in the village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar of the Magaramkent District was cancelled," reports an official from the Operational Headquarters of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) for Dagestan as quoted by the "Interfax".

It should be noted that the CTO legal regime in the Magaramkent District was introduced five times since early 2016. Prior to October 26, it was introduced on September 23 and lifted on October 12.
