Power agents state that SUV in Dagestan was blown up by a bomb

Law enforcers have explained that an explosion of an improvised explosion device (IED) in the car, found today in the Kayakent District of Dagestan, killed one person, not two, as reported earlier.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, near the Pervomaisk-Sergokala highway, a burned-out SUV (sub-urban vehicle) was found. Two charred dead bodies were found next to the car, the republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

Later, a MIA’s press service source clarified that the remains belong to one man, and they were found in the car, not next to it.

"The body was found in such a condition that at first it looked like remains of two people, burnt down by a fire," the "Interfax" quotes the source as saying.

The SUV was found in the field not far from the highway, the “Chernovik” weekly adds with reference to its MIA source.

There was an IED in the car, which detonated during transportation, the RIA "Novosti" writes, citing its law enforcement source.
