Volgograd activist holds picket against inaction of prosecutor’s office (+video)
A solo picket was held today in Volgograd by Alexei Ulyanov, the chairman of the board of the regional organization "Public Independent Inspection", who stated that the local prosecutor’s office ignores his appeals.
The picket was held near the building of the prosecutor's office in Volgograd. Ulyanov was holding a poster reading: "Prosecutor's Office of Volgograd forgot Laws ‘On Prosecutor's Office’ and FZ-59 ‘On Citizens' Appeals’, and their oath", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
"In recent years, I’ve appealed to the Volgograd City Prosecutor’s Office on various issues, trying to draw attention to the problems of housing and communal services, improvement of the city, and poor condition of roads," Alexei Ulyanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"But I keep receiving run-arounds from the Office. Their answers either failed to respond to my questions, or stated that the problem was not detected, although, in fact, it was self-evident," said the activist.
