At the exhibition entitled "Circassian Theatre. Revived Album" and held in Nalchik, the Art Centre of Madina Saralp and the National Museum of Adygea have presented photographs of old albums released in memory of the Circassian charitable evenings held in the early 20th century.

The exhibition includes photographs of the two albums entitled "Album in memory of the Circassian charity event, held for the first time in the city of Ekaterinodar on January 18, 1908" and "Album in memory of the Circassian charity event, held for the second time in the city of Ekaterinodar on January 2, 1914". The originals of the above albums are stored at the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Nalmes Shovgenova, Deputy Director of the Museum.

According to her, those two unique albums were published by the Circassian Charitable Society, which was the initiator of the charity evenings.

"In the early 20th century, a number of ethnic charitable societies were created in the city of Ekaterinodar, including the Circassian Charitable Society. It is likely that by the early 20th century, a fairly large and influential Circassian community was formed in the city of Ekaterinodar," said Nalmes Shovgenova.

According to her, in 1926, the albums were sent to the National Museum of Adygea by A. Bzhasso, one of the last Presidents of the Circassian Charitable Society.
